My Role:

Web Design + Animation + Project Management

Overview:

Rev AI is Rev's speech-to-text API platform, built for developers. In early 2026, I partnered with the brand and speech teams to completely redesign the site — unifying the brand identity across Rev's properties, sharpening the messaging for a technical audience, and creating a more engaging experience through custom graphics and animation. The project also included a full migration from a hardcoded, engineering-managed site to Webflow, giving the team the ability to create and optimize pages independently for the first time.

The Challenge:

The existing Rev AI site had three core problems. First, it felt visually disconnected from the broader Rev brand — outdated in identity and tone. Second, the copy didn't clearly communicate what Rev AI is or what developers could actually do with the API, making it harder for the right users to self-qualify and convert. Third, the hardcoded architecture meant every content change required engineering involvement, creating bottlenecks for the marketing team and limiting SEO optimization.

The original Rev AI site illustrates all three challenges clearly. You can see it here: rev.ai. The brand disconnect from Rev, the unclear copy, and the static architecture are all immediately apparent — and informed every decision we made in the redesign.

The Approach:
Brand Unification

The redesign brought Rev AI's visual identity in line with Rev's evolving brand direction — updated typography, a refined color system, and a design language that felt modern and consistent across all three Rev properties. The goal was for a user moving between Rev and Rev AI to feel continuity, not disconnection.

Messaging for a Developer Audience

Writing for developers requires a different approach than writing for general consumers. The old site leaned on abstract language that didn't clearly explain the product's capabilities. The redesign replaced that with direct, use-case-driven messaging — making it immediately clear what the API does, who it's for, and how to get started.

Custom Graphics and Animation

To reduce text-heavy sections and communicate complex API use cases more clearly, I designed custom graphics and animations that brought the product to life visually. Rather than asking developers to read through dense copy to understand the product's capabilities, the visuals did that work — making the experience faster to parse and more engaging overall.

Webflow Migration

Moving from a hardcoded site to Webflow was a significant unlock for the team. It eliminated the engineering dependency for content updates, enabled faster page creation, and opened up SEO optimization capabilities that weren't possible before.

The Result:

A fully redesigned developer platform that unified Rev's brand across properties, communicated the product's value more clearly to a technical audience, and gave the marketing team full ownership of the site for the first time. The migration to Webflow laid the foundation for future experimentation and optimization as Rev AI continues to grow.
